Acupuncture originated in China more than 3,000 years ago and due to it's proven effectiveness, has been embraced throughout the world. It involves the insertion of extremely fine pre-sterilised needles at predetermined points on the body's surface to restore health. Acupuncture can be used alone or combined with other forms of Traditional Chinese Medicine, commonly referred to as TCM.

NUMBER OF TREATMENTS
Since each person is unique, the number of treatments needed will vary. Among the determining factors are the following:

  • The nature of the complaint - whether it is chronic or acute.
  • The general state of health and well being of the patient.
  • The frequency and type of TCM treatment administered may determine the likely outcome of therapy.
  • The adherence of the patient to the instructions of the TCM practitioner can also influence the speed of recovery or otherwise.
  • The skill and experience of the practitioner cannot be discounted.
  • The TCM practitioner will usually discuss the treatment programme with the patient.

All acupuncture needles are single use, pre-sterilised, disposable needles. Consequently a patient can be confident that no infection can be transmitted.
The use of acupuncture and TCM in the hands of fully qualified professional practitioners is entirely safe and free of any harmful side-effects.

This treatment is excellent for the following conditions: Sports Injuries, tennis elbow, muscle strain, trapped nerves, frozen shoulder, sciatica, joint pain, arthitic and rheumatic pain, menstrual pain, insomnia, sinus and stress.

The symptoms of faulty foot mechanics may begin with any of the following:

  • localized foot pain
  • bunions, hammer toes
  • arch, heel pain
  • leg, knee pain
  • hip or back pain, even neck pain

You can hurt all over!

How do orthotics help?
Your feet are the foundation of your entire body. They do an incredible amount of work each day. Orthotics realign your body and bring relief from fatigue and pain. Orthotics are so comfortable to wear, while helping your feet work naturally, you will want to wear them always.

The wearing of orthotics
In your shoes your feet rest comfortably on the orthotics, your feet are gently and consistently forced into the correct functioning position for walking, running and standing. Pressure points, improper rotation of the foot, painful muscle strain, and abnormal forces on the legs, hips and spine are eliminated because orthotics enable your feet to function properly.
